Hello it’s been a while since I posted on here . I’m done with school and I’m going to continue with this blog to mainly educate or teach people on what I learnt in school: something like giving back to the community. First thing I’m going to do as stated in my final project, is to educate people on some traditional symbols other than the Akan Adinkra symbols . I call this
.COMPILATION OF UNDER PUBLICISED GHANAIAN TRADITIONAL SYMBOLS.
With this, I did the Ewe and Ga traditional symbols. So stay tuned and watch this space for more . I hope you like and enjoy it. Share for others to know what’s going on and also learn. Thank You….
The pandemic came last two years but we actually experienced in 2020 and we were asked to document people on their INTIMACY WITH THE WORLD PANDEMIC ‘CORONA VIRUS’ so we were paired up with level 300’s on this one. the story is in but yet to do the video i just wanted to introduce my partner for this project.
well her name is TRISHA ARAH RUEEGGER . do not know much about her for now but i will later
.. in /with the events i decided to go with the funeral because i had an upcoming funeral. With this I went with a 5d mark ii , a zoom lense and a 50mm. The picture I chose is of a woman or the widow Crying.. the widow is crying but because of the mask she is wearing one will not see either if she is crying or not . And if we were to be in normal times, the friends or relatives of the widow would be around her hugging and consoling her but due to Covid 19 there are sitting around her looking and talking to her to calm down. Since there is a social distancing rule. people are seated not so close to each other and since there is a rule to always wear a mask whenever we leave the house, the woman and others in the picture are wearing one even the woman’s own is a customized mask to remember her late husband.

Church:
Covid has brought about many changes in our lives. Wearing masks always, keeping our distance everywhere and every time even at churches and even at home with our families. This shoot was taken at church right after the main mass or service. The fathers were at the Altar ready to offer mass to the people. They were observing every Covid 19 rules or protocols i.e. wear a face mask , keep a distance between you and your friend or the one close to you. This is a major change in our lives because we gotta be apart from each other in church even fathers offering mass and they also got to wear nose masks even when preaching to the congregation.
Location: Kwadaso kumasi
Devic: 5dmark ii, 50mm
Event: Back to school
This photography or shoot was taken while an organization called Afua pumpuni foundation decided to share books, pens and have a free haircut for students who were going back to school after school had been closed down for 3 or 4 months . This exercise was taken in the morning around 9 to 10 am. I singled out one little kid who had received her book and pen or pencil even though she wasn’t part of those going back to school. This is also the effect of Covid 19 because if it were to be in normal time’s, the kid would have been in school, and she wouldn’t have been in a nose mask .

Fashion
Covid 19 has brought about many changes and one major change it has brought in our live is our fashion. Sake of the nose mask rule everybody wants to match his or her nose masn to what they are wearing. Schools , companies, works, all have one matching outfit with the mask. With this shoot I took two girls, one dressed with nose masks matching their outfits .
This is the second project and we were tasked to make another poster with social distancing . With this i went to a filling station close to my place to observe the social distancing at the place
With this we were tasked to read about the Sustainable Development Goals(SDGs) and create conceptual photography on them. I choose .No Poverty .2 Gender Equality 3. Climate Action 4. Quality education .5 .Clean water and Sanitation
This happened in December don’t really remember the day but we were paired with fashion designers in level 400 they make the cloth we shoot . In this project the designers were to choose their motivation and use it in making a dress then we the photographers will choose the location with our partners, the style and the feel of the shoot (which should correspond with the motivation of the designer) my partner choose the hippies from the 80’s .
